German motor vehicle insurance is normally available from any number of German outlets. These are however invariably ‘tied’ agencies and not Brokerages. That is, you will not be offered a choice other than that provided by the respective single agency outlets.
It pays therefore to ‘shop around’. This may be difficult if you do not have time or are unfamiliar with the language. Rates however do not vary greatly although some ‘on-line’ direct insurances are cheaper - but often restricted in cover.
